Ms. Lena Sophie Hottner was employed in our company in the Global Brand and Design Management department. The department is responsible for global strategies regarding brand identity and product design and primarily works in a strategic direction.

During her internship, Ms. Hottner provided strong support to the entire team in the development of design guidelines and processes, as well as the development of innovative product concepts. In addition to her work for the Product Design team, Ms. Hottner also assisted in the areas of Brand Space Design and Interaction Design.

Ms. Hottner particularly managed the following projects:

  • Sound Vest: an innovative product concept. Notably in this project, Ms. Hottner took the initiative to organize a study trip to London to exchange ideas with start-ups and technology companies on this topic. She supplemented the comprehensive market research with technology research and a megatrend analysis. Based on these inputs, Ms. Hottner personally organized a brainstorming workshop that generated many exciting ideas. She then evaluated the results of the workshop and further developed and presented the most interesting concepts.
  • Motion Design Guidelines: development of guidelines for animations for Interaction Design in collaboration with the Brand Design and UX/UI Design teams.
  • Plant Store Concept: development of a concept for handling plants and other decorative materials in Sennheiser's global stores.
  • NDA/Design Contract Process: development of guidelines and a process for more efficient handling of NDAs and design contracts with our external partners.
  • Intern Onboarding Process: development of guidelines and a process to streamline the introduction of new interns.
  • Project Support in General: support for several large-scale operational design projects.
  • HE1 Special Edition: development of a design concept for a special edition of a HE1 headphone made of porcelain.

Additionally, Ms. Hottner handled all the everyday tasks that arise in a design office, including organizing cleanup actions in the office and submitting design awards.

Ms. Hottner already possesses a broad, well-founded, and comprehensive expertise in the fields of industrial design, UX design, design management, and design thinking, as well as workshop facilitation. She strategically applied her knowledge. Thanks to her quick and thorough comprehension, good imagination, and logical thinking ability, she quickly integrated into our environment.
